What does a free account get me?
A free Kootenay Connection account lets you browse every participating business, see every active offer, search by town and category, and follow what is happening across the region. You can look at everything. Redeeming an offer is what needs a VIP Pass.
What does the VIP Pass cost?
CAD $50 for a full year from the day you buy it. That unlocks every active offer in the app at every participating business, plus VIP-only offers, priority support, and early access to new offers as they launch.
How do I redeem an offer?
Visit the business, open the app and tap Redeem Offer. Ask a staff member for their unique 4-digit code, enter it, and show them the green checkmark confirmation screen. That is the whole flow, and it takes a few seconds at the till.
How many times can I use an offer?
The Pass itself is unlimited. Each individual offer carries its own per-customer redemption limit set by the business, and some carry an overall cap. The app always shows you the limit before you redeem.
Do I need the app, or can I use a browser?
Either. The iOS and Android apps and the web app at user.kootenayconnection.app share the same account and the same Pass. Most people redeem on their phone because that is what is in their pocket at the till.
Can I buy a Pass for someone else?
Yes. A gift certificate is delivered by email, needs no account to purchase, and is redeemable for up to a year from the date of purchase. It makes a good birthday or holiday gift for anyone who lives in or visits the Kootenays.
