How the 50/50 split works

Our standard group rate is $25 per pass. Every VIP Pass sold through your group's code is split 50/50: $25 to your group, $25 to Kootenay Connection. Each Pass covers one person, and you decide whether to keep the full $25 or give some of it to the supporter as a discount.

Keep the full $25

Supporter pays full price. Your group gets $25. Simple max-fundraise mode, great when supporters just want to back your cause.

Give some incentive

Give the supporter a small discount, say $5 off, and your group still keeps $20 per VIP Pass. Easier sell, more supporters.

What to expect

Whether you're a hockey team, a school PAC, or a registered charity, the program works the same way. Here's how it runs.

  1. Today About 60 seconds

    You apply, we review

    Tell us about your group and pick a code. We review every application personally and reach out to confirm.

  2. Once approved

    You get a link, a code, and a QR poster

    Share it in your group chat, your school newsletter, your donor email, or on posters at events. Anyone who signs up through your code is tracked back to your group automatically.

  3. Every pass sold

    $25 per VIP Pass

    Each VIP Pass is for one person. Each time a supporter buys a VIP Pass through your code, your group earns $25.

    One $50 VIP Pass, split 50/50

    $25 Your group $25 Kootenay Connection

    Giving supporters a discount? It comes out of your group's half: with $5 off, the supporter pays $45 and your group keeps $20.

    Renewals count too. Supporters stay linked to your group, so when they buy their next VIP Pass your group earns again without them entering your code, unless they buy with someone else's code.

  4. Monthly

    We pay out monthly by e-transfer

    We send one e-transfer a month to your group's contact (less a $1.50 transfer fee). No invoices, no paperwork. If a supporter refunds within 7 days, that amount is reversed automatically.

  5. Anytime

    Track it live

    Your team signs in to the fundraiser portal to see progress toward your goal, monthly totals and payouts. Invite as many people from your group as you like.

    Supporter privacy is protected

    You see how many signups came through your code, but never individual names, emails, or personal details. Supporters can back your group without being on a list.
