Five steps from a code in your inbox to a live VIP Pass.

  1. Create or sign in to your account

    You need a Kootenay Connection account to redeem your certificate. If you don't have one yet, create a free account with your email and sign in.

  2. Go to the redemption page

    Once signed in, there are two routes:

    Via settings

    Settings → Gift Certificates → Redeem Gift Code

    Direct link

    Go straight to the redemption page.

  3. Enter your gift code

    Find the 6-character code on your certificate:

    • Check your email for the gift certificate
    • Look for the redemption code
    • Enter it in the redemption form

    Example code

    ABC123

    Codes are not case-sensitive.

  4. Validate your code

    Select Validate Code to check your certificate. You'll see:

    • VIP Pass confirmation
    • Expiration date
    • Any personal message included

  5. Complete redemption

    Select Redeem Now to activate your VIP Pass. Once redeemed:

    • Your account upgrades to VIP immediately
    • Every offer becomes available, including VIP-only offers
    • You can start redeeming at participating businesses
    • Your VIP Pass is valid for one full year

After redemption

  • Instant access to all participating businesses
  • Browse exclusive offers in the app
  • Start redeeming deals immediately
  • Track your redemption history
  • Enjoy savings for a full year

Worth knowing

  • One-time use: each gift code can only be redeemed once
  • Account required: you must be signed in to redeem
  • Expiration: certificates expire 1 year from purchase
  • Non-transferable: once redeemed, the pass is tied to your account
  • VIP Pass: valid for 1 year from redemption

Using your pass at businesses

Once your certificate is redeemed, here's how to use your active pass.

  1. Browse offers

    Open the app and explore offers from participating businesses.

  2. Visit the business

    Head over and let them know you're using Kootenay Connection.

  3. Get their code

    Ask for their unique 4-digit redemption code.

  4. Redeem and show

    Enter the code, then show the green checkmark to enjoy your savings.

Common questions

What if my gift code doesn't work?

Double-check that you entered the code correctly; it is not case-sensitive. If it still does not work, the code may already have been redeemed or expired. Contact support and we will sort it out.

Can I redeem a gift certificate without creating an account?

No. You need a Kootenay Connection account to redeem and use your gift certificate. Creating one is free and takes about a minute.

How long is my VIP Pass valid after redemption?

Your VIP Pass is valid for one full year from the date you redeem the gift certificate.
